Join us for a "Tibial Osteotomies for the Treatment of Cranial Cruciate Deficiency in Small Dogs" CE Course featuring veterinary surgeons, Dr. Hugo Schmokel & Dr. Ditte Skytte in Portland on October 12th, 2022 (before ACVS). Objectives of this one-day course are to learn the basic biomechanics of the tibial osteotomies TPLO, CBLO and TTA, and their use in dogs smaller than 15kg.
9am: Welcome and introductions
9:15am: Current treatment of cranial instability in small dogs compared to large dogs.
9:45am: Biomechanics of the stifle and the common effect of the tibial osteotomies.
10:45am: Differences between TPLO, CBLO and TTA.
11:15am: Preoperative planning of the three osteotomies taking the anatomy of the smaller dogs in consideration.
11:45am: Surgical procedure TPLO, CBLO and TTA Tiny in small dogs, common and specific complications of the tibial osteotomies.
1:45pm: Results available for the tibial osteotomies in small dogs.
2:45: Practical Lab
4:45pm-5pm: Q&A and adjourn
